# upscale-video-takes · takes in progress: generate, don't upscale

## Choose

| Priority | Setting |
| --- | --- |
| ⚡ drafts | MiniMax H3 Max Turbo i2v · 768P |
| 🏆 final takes | H3 Max Turbo · 1080P (latent refinement of 768P) |

## Rules

1. The start frame decides the detail — make it with `upscale-start-frame` (Flare 2K close-up / 4K wide, or 1K + Magnific).
2. A storyboard or character sheet given as first/last image must stand **far off the timeline**: first at -00:10, last at +01:40, no frozen shots for them. Then they hold 1–2 frames instead of seconds and no shot is lost.
3. Trim those 1–2 frames, edit, then run `upscale-video-final` **once** on the cut.
4. Queue time on fal varies (0–150 s) — the generation itself is ~9 s per 15 s.
