Plans and balance
Understand FlashBoards plans, your dollar balance, and what it pays for.
FlashBoards uses a real dollar balance, not credits. Each model and workflow has its own price, and you pay for what you run. Prices change; see the pricing page.
Plans
- Free: for exploring. Local boards only and one board. Imported boards (archives, Official Board Packs and Local Copy) don't use that slot; you can keep up to three of them. No monthly AI balance, so you can only generate with top-up credits left over from an earlier subscription.
- Starter: light personal AI creation.
- Creator: active creators and production work.
- Pro: heavy workloads and small teams.
- Enterprise: studios and agencies that need the most throughput.
Paid plans add a monthly AI balance and more boards. Annual billing costs less and gives the same balance each month.
Plans also set how many generations can run at once. Some board runs show Queued or Waiting for slot... until capacity is available. Different types of runs use separate local queues. Work in the same tab, another tab or a connected tool can still use the account's slots, so a new run may be refused. See Billing.
- No plan: 2
- Starter: 10
- Creator: 20
- Pro: 50
- Enterprise: the most
NoteFeatures by plan
Publishing shared boards and buying top-ups need an active paid subscription. Top-up credits stay spendable if your subscription ends. All generations pause while a subscription payment issue is open. See Top-ups and payment issues.
Subscribe
On the pricing page, pick Monthly or Annual, then click Subscribe to on a plan. If you're signed out, sign in and checkout continues. A new account must verify its email first, then pick the plan again. After paying, you return to the board with a Subscription activated. toast.
If checkout can't start, you return to the pricing page with a message at the top that says why, and your Monthly or Annual choice is still selected. When you already have a subscription, or your subscription needs attention, the message comes with Open workspace, for example You already have a subscription. Manage it in Settings → Account. Other messages ask you to try again. Close the message with its dismiss button.
Promo codes work for monthly plans only. To change an existing plan, use Settings → Account.
Your balance
Settings → Account shows your balance in dollars, split by source. It's spent in this order:
- Subscription credits: from your plan, refreshed monthly. Unused credits expire at the next refresh.
- Top-up credits: one-time purchases. They stay if your subscription ends.
- Referral credits: rewards from Settings → Referrals, spendable once unlocked.
What the balance pays for
Successful generations and paid AI actions such as Describe and Transcript. These media actions follow the confirmed processing result and can be charged even when no usable text is returned. See Billing for failures, unresolved requests and held funds.
Renewals and plan changes
- Renewal: unused subscription balance expires. The new month's balance arrives once payment succeeds.
- Upgrade: starts now at the full new price, and your renewal date moves to today. Leftover subscription balance moves to your top-up balance.
- Downgrade: happens at your next renewal. You keep your plan until then and can cancel the downgrade.
- Cancel: you keep access and your balance until the paid period ends.
- Monthly to annual: starts and is charged right away. Leftover monthly balance moves to your top-up balance.
- Annual plans: upgrades carry your unused annual value forward. Downgrades happen at the annual renewal. To switch to monthly, cancel the annual renewal and subscribe monthly after the term ends.
