Preview and compare

Open a full-screen preview from the board, zoom, rotate, compare two files, step through layers and play video or audio.

The full-screen preview opens from the board. Use it to inspect detail, flip through several files, and compare two images or two videos with a split wipe.

Open the preview

Select a media item on the board, then double-click it, press Enter, or right-click and choose Preview. If several items are selected, they all load into the preview.

Zoom, pan and rotate

  • Zoom in and Zoom out go from 25% to 400%. Above 100%, drag to pan; Reset pan position recentres.
  • Rotate turns the file in 90 degree steps.
  • File information opens the details panel. The Pinned File Info panel setting keeps it open.
  • With several items, use Previous and Next, the thumbnails, or the arrow keys.
  • Space plays or pauses video. Close with Esc.

Compare two files

Select two files

Select exactly two images or two videos: click one, then Shift-click the other.

Open the preview

Press Enter, double-click, or choose Preview. Compare is on by default.

Move the divider

Move the pointer to drag the divider, no click needed. Model labels sit in the bottom corners.

Use the controls

Swap sides flips left and right. Disable compare returns to normal navigation.

Select two items, press Enter, and move the divider to compare

Compared videos play muted, looped and in sync. Use Restart comparison videos and Play comparison videos, or press Space. An image with a video, or two audio files, can't be compared.

Step through layers

A generated item with layers, for example from Qwen Image Layered, opens on Original preview. Use Previous layer and Next layer, the Layer N thumbnails, or the arrow keys.

Play media on the board

You don't need the preview to play files.

  • Video: hover or select it, then use Play video, the scrub bar and Mute video. Enable automatic looping mutes, loops and plays it, and is saved with the item.
  • Audio: click Play audio and seek with the position bar.
  • Select one video or audio item and press Space to play or pause.

Mute and auto-loop are hidden on shared boards and for web-linked media.

File information

Select one item and click File information in its left toolbar to see file details and, for generated media, how it was made. Focus on item in the same toolbar zooms to the item. The Media Browser has its own, more detailed panel.

Large images

A very large image (16 megapixels or more) shows an amber badge, "Large image may slow panning". Click it, then Create faster preview. The original is still used for downloads, fullscreen and generation. Choose Use original to undo.
